MEET THE ARTIST

Savannah Mcleod is an Ojibwe artist based in Nipissing First Nation, Ontario. Born in North Bay, she has spent most of her life in Nipissing, Treaty No. 10, leaving only for her college years before returning home. She now lives and creates on her home territory, where she permanently resides surrounded by the landscapes that continue to shape her work.

Her art is inspired by the natural world, often portraying eastern woodland animals with symbolic elements that reflect connection, memory, and care.
